Lake Cowichan, is a town located on the east end of Cowichan Lake and, by highway, is 27 kilometres west of Duncan, British Columbia. The Cowichan River flows through the middle of the town.
British Columbia Highway 18 connects Duncan (via North Cowichan) to the town of Lake Cowichan to the west.
