Highway 3B Road Conditions

Strawberry Pass – Hwy 3B, about 15 km north of Rossland and 4 km south of summit, looking to the north.

Rossland West – Highway 3B at Hwy 22 near the Rossland Weigh Scale, looking to the west on Highway 22.

Rossland East – Hwy 3B at Hwy 22 near the Rossland Weigh Scale, looking to the east on Hwy 22.

Highway 3B’s western terminus is at the Crowsnest Highway near Nancy Greene Lake. The route travels 45 km (28 mi) southeast to the village of Rossland, where Highway 22 merges onto Highway 3B. The two highways share the route for the next 10 km (6 mi) east to Trail, where Highway 22 diverges north, with Highway 22A following Highway 3B east for 7 km (4 mi) to its departure just west of the village of Montrose for the Waneta border crossing. Highway 3B proceeds northeast for 23 km (14 mi), through the villages of Montrose and Fruitvale, to the location of Meadows, where it again meets up with the Crowsnest. Highway 6 North South Road Conditions

Needles Ferry

From Needles, Highway 6 takes a winding path northwest through the Monashee Mountain range, passing through the community of Cherryville on its exit from the mountains, until it reaches the community of Lumby. Highway 6 then proceeds west on its final through the district of Coldstream, and terminates at a junction with Highway 97 in Vernon.

Highway 41 is a very short cross-border spur in the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary in British Columbia. The highway is only 1.29 km (0.80 mi); making it the shortest numbered highway in the province. It connects State Route 21 at the Carson Canada-U.S. border crossing to a point on the Crowsnest Highway (Highway 3) just 3 km (1.9 mi) west of Grand Forks. 

Coming north on the SR21 in Washington State the highway enters Danville, where SR 21 crosses the Canada–US border into British Columbia as Highway 41 (BC 41). BC Hwy 41 continues 1.2 kilometres (0.7 mi) north to end at BC Hwy 3 southwest of Grand Forks Highway 41 Road Conditions.

Highway 22A provides access to the USA in the West Kootenay region of the Province of BC. The highway connects Highway 3B east of Montrose to the border town of Waneta, 11 km (7 mi) south of the 3B junction.

Crossing into the USA Hwy22A becomes the Northport–Boundary Road. The Boundary–Waneta Border Crossing connects the town of Northport, Washington with Trail, British Columbia Via Hwy 3B.

Highway 22 is a north-south highway that provides quick access from the city of Castlegar to the Canada-U.S. border.

The total distance covered by Highway 22 is 47 km (29 mi).

It begins at the (SR25 US) Canada-U.S. border at a location known as Paterson.

From Paterson, Highway 22 goes north for 11 km (7 mi) to Rossland, where it meets Highway 3B.

Highway 3B then carries Highway 22 east for 10 km (6 mi) to Trail where Highway 3B diverges east.

Highway 22 then follows the Columbia River north for 26 km (16 mi) to where it meets the Crowsnest Highway at Castlegar. Highway 22 Road Conditions

Highway 95 is a north-south highway in the southeastern corner of British Columbia.

The highway connects with U.S. Route 95, from which the highway takes its number, at the Canada–U.S. border at Kingsgate, just north of Eastport, Idaho. The section between the Canada-U.S. border and the Crowsnest Highway is known as the Yahk–Kingsgate Highway while the section between the Crowsnest Highway and Golden is known as the Kootenay–Columbia Highway. Highway 31 is a route through the Selkirk mountains in British Columbia. The Southern end is at Balfour on Highway 3A where the ferry across Kootenay Lake. The Northern end is a few kilometers South of the Galena Bay ferry on Highway 23.

Highway 31 starts in Balfour, at the ferry terminal. It goes north along the west shore of Kootenay Lake through Queens Bay, Ainsworth Hot Springs, and Mirror Lake before reaching Kaslo. It then continues north through Shutty Bench, Lardeau, and Howser.

From Howser, Highway 31 travels northwest, and passes through Goat Range Provincial Park. It then continues northwest along the eastern shore of Trout Lake to the town of Trout Lake. It then continues past Staubert Lake to Galena Bay, where it ends at a junction with Highway 23. Highway 31 Road Conditions

Hwy 23, is 250 km (155 mi) long and begins in the south at Nakusp, where it meets Highway 6.

Highway 23 winds north along the eastern shore of Upper Arrow Lake for 49 km (30 mi) to its junction with Highway 31 at Galena Bay.

The Upper Arrow Lake Ferry continues Highway 23 across Upper Arrow Lake to a location known as Shelter Bay.

North of Shelter Bay, the highway follows the west bank of the Columbia River for 49 km (30 mi). Here it meets the Trans-Canada Highway. Highway 23 follows the Trans-Canada east through the city of Revelstoke for 1 km (about ½ mi).

North of Revelstoke, Highway 23 follows the bank of Revelstoke Lake. It passes Mica Creek to its northern end at the Mica Dam.
