BC Highway 9 – Road Conditions for the Agassiz-Rosedale Highway.

Highway 9 – road conditions at the Agassiz-Rosedale Highway. A north-south route in the eastern part of the Fraser Valley. It acts as the last connection between the Trans Canada Highway (Highway 1) and the Lougheed Highway (Highway 7) eastbound before Hope, and is the main access to the resort village of Harrison Hot Springs.

Highway 9 is 16 km (10 mi) long. In the south, the Highway starts at an interchange on Highway 1 between Rosedale and the Bridal Falls area. Highway 9 travels north for 2.8 km (1.7 mi) to its 1.9-kilometre-long (1.2 mi) bridge over the Fraser River. After crossing the Fraser, Highway 9 – road conditions travels north for 2.5 km (1.6 mi) to the centre of Agassiz. On the north side of Agassiz, Highway 9 meets Highway 7, and the two highways share a common alignment for 1.6 km (1.0 mi). Highway 9 then travels 6.4 km (4.0 mi) north to terminate at Harrison Hot Springs.

Highway 19A in Nanaimo begins at Stewart Avenue (Trans-Canada Highway / Highway 1) at the entrance to the Departure Bay ferry terminal and proceeds up Brechin Road to Terminal Avenue.

The highway then turns to the north and proceeds through the northern business district of the city to northern end of the Nanaimo Parkway (Highway 19).

The Highway 19A northern section begins at the junction of Highway 19 at Craig’s Crossing. The highway hugs the coastline for 14 km (9 mi) through Parksville and the town of Qualicum Beach.

The highway continues northwest for 37 km (23 mi) through the settlements Bowser, Deep Bay, and Fanny Bay before it meets a junction with Highway 19 at the Buckley Bay B.C. Ferry terminal.

From Buckley Bay, Highway 19A once again hugs the coastline as it proceeds northwest through the hamlets of Union Bay and Royston for 20 km (12 mi) before entering the city of Courtenay.

Highway 19A proceeds through the southern part of the city of Courtenay on Cliffe Avenue, then crosses the Courtenay River into Comox, and Courtenay.

The highway continues inland for 26 km (16 mi), through the communities of Grantham, Merville, Black Creek, and Oyster River before rejoining the coastline at the intersection with Oyster Garden Road.

From there, the highway hugs the coastline for 18 km (11 mi), entering the city of Campbell River, passing by the B.C. Ferry terminal at Discovery Pier, and going north and west around the City Centre before terminating at the junction of Highways 19 and 28.

Hwy 28 runs the width of central Vancouver Island, linking Campbell River on the east coast with Gold River and Nootka Sound on the west, including access to Strathcona Provincial Park in the middle.

Starting in Gold River at the shore of Muchalat Inlet, Highway 28 follows the Gold and Heber Rivers northeast for 24 km (15 mi) before entering Strathcona Provincial Park.

The highway winds its way east through the park, following the Elk River, for 17 km (11 mi), then hugs Upper Campbell Lake for another 11 km (7 mi) to its junction with the road to Westmin Mines.

The expressway and freeway sections of the highway are known as Okanagan Connector or Coquihalla Connector.

Highway 97C begins near Peachland, on Highway 97 . The highway’s highest altitude is the Pennask Summit, 1,728 m (5,669 ft) above sea level.

Hwy 97C travels 82 km (51 mi) northwest from Peachland to Aspen Grove, where it converges with Highway 5A.

Highways 97C Okanogan Connector and 5A share the 24 km (15 mi) long route between Aspen Grove and the Coquihalla Highway (Highway 5) at Meritt BC, where Highway 5A continues northeast and Highway 8 begins.

Highways 97C and 8 travel along Nicola Avenue through Merritt and share a 9 km (5.6 mi) concurrency to Lower Nicola, where Highway 8 continues west to Spences Bridge and Highway 97C diverges north.

Hwy 97C travels north for 42 km (26 mi) to Logan Lake. It then travels northwest for 57 km (35 mi) to Ashcroft and then west from Ashcroft BC over to Highway 1.Highway 97C then travels 6 km (4 mi) west from Ashcroft to where it converges with Highway 1, which takes Highway 97C north for its final 5 km (3 mi) to its end at Highway 97 in Cache Creek.
